We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join an extremely reputable, family-run SME based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This business provides quality solutions that empower their global client base. To further facilitate their growth plans, they are looking to recruit a talented dynamic individual to oversee the warehouse team. You will assist in several exciting developments such as relocation, recruitment and team development.
Key duties and responsibilities...
- To guide Warehouse Operatives with allocation of days’ work
- Train, guide and develop a team of warehouse operatives to meet delivery demands
- To ensure day to day to tasks are completed.
- To ensure warehouse tasks and systems are implemented in line with company objectives.
- Provide guidance and support as required to Warehouse Operatives
- Oversee day to day carrier operations.
- Report regularly to and implement the directions of the Operations Manager
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained during periods of staffing levels are maintained during periods of staff annual leave.
- Stock Planning
- Capable of production planning for labelling and Mamp;D.
- Capable of liaising with other teams to fulfil customer orders.
- Management of bulk deliveries and collections through supply chain partners.
- Able to attend daily Teams company meetings
- Manage Hamp;S in warehouse.
- In charge of delivering continuous improvement
- Manage and co-ordinate warehouse layout
- Responsible for warehouse budget?
Requirements
- Previous experience in similar warehouse environment min 5 years.
- Forklift qualification (ideally)
- Understanding of Lean principles (ideally)
- Experience of working with similar MRP systems.
- Able to work to strict OTIF targets.
- Able to implement QC standards to ensure the quality of goods leaving.
- Able to manage and allocate resources in line with workloads on the different areas within the WH.
- Should be skilled at motivating their team to meet delivery demands.
- Strong upward management and reporting skills.
Monday- Friday 42.5 hours per week- flexible between the hours of 6am and 6pm
