About the role

We’re looking for a highly ambitious and commercially driven Managing Director (MD) who wants a challenge to scale a start-up to become a high-performing digital product sourcing consultancy, with the support of an established leadership team, and multiple business units

Reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the 383 Group CEO, the IRIS MD will be a specialist in resourcing talent. You will be responsible for the commercial and operational performance, structure, and proposition of IRIS, driving new client acquisition, existing client relationships, and candidate placement to achieve short and long-term commercial (sales and profit) targets. You will have an eye on the day-to-day, and long-term strategic activities.

As a key role within the 383 group, the IRIS MD will oversee the implementation of team objectives, managing financial and operational risk, driving business performance levels, and aligning IRIS to our group mission.

In this role, you’ll find yourself:

  • Leading your direct and wider team to deliver on the IRIS vision and mission
  • Reviewing the current operating model of IRIS, and adapting as you see fit to ensure it is setup effectively to achieve our targets
  • Assess and refine (if required) the current proposition of IRIS
  • Leading your team to build a robust sales pipeline (both client acquisition and candidate placement) to support the business’ growth.
  • Leading all commercial aspects of business engagements with clients
  • Organically sourcing new business opportunities through targeted ABM campaigns, attending industry events and cultivating a network of potential buyers.
  • Being accountable for the business performance (forecasting, recruiting amp; resourcing, sales, revenue, profit) of IRIS
  • Defining and executing a sales strategy to deliver on the annual target
  • Definition of a team roadmap amp; structure, recruitment and management of a team of specialists to deliver on your strategy and targets
  • Defining, iterating and constantly evaluating our outreach strategy, assessing new sectors and new companies
  • Identifying new business relationships while working closely with our Marketing team to develop materials and events to engage our current and future clients and candidates
  • Demonstrating team management skills and business management capabilities in order to drive successful engagements.
  • Forecasting, controlling and managing the IRIS sales budget
  • Collaborating very closely with our other business units (383 Project amp; Canvas) to identify and close sales opportunities for 383 Group clients

Requirements

There’s a few things we’re looking for in our Iris MD:

  • You have a proven track record of managing a recruitment business, and being accountable for all key aspects of business performance
  • You can engage with our community and are comfortable being the face of IRIS
  • You will be data-driven and have experience in financial amp; strategic planning and budgeting
  • You will have a strong working knowledge of growing and running a business within a similar role and able to demonstrate business growth
  • You will have the ability to lead and motivate teams, manage diverse personalities and viewpoints
  • Operated within a fast-paced and varied agency environment.
