Job Description

Job Summary:

Square Enix, the company behind some of the world’s most popular action and RPG brands including Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Outriders, is looking for an experienced Project Manager who will be working for a portfolio of games across Europe, the Americas, and Australia / New Zealand.

Reporting to the Publishing Strategy Team Lead, the successful individual will have proven experience in project management as well as knowledge and understanding of international video game publishing in Western markets.

The Project Manager duties include planning, executing and monitoring specific projects to meet the Publishing Lead’s objectives and ensure that projects deliver within budget and time.

Requirements

Key Deliverables:
  • Create efficient processes, tools, and schedules for the portfolio of titles for CBU 1 and work with Publishing Strategy team to ensure projects and campaigns are kept on track. Flag bottlenecks and risks to Project Leads during build up to campaign.
  • Develop detailed project plans to guide stakeholders and revise based on changing needs and requirements. Work with Project Leads on compiling comprehensive status reports for Publishing and Marketing Lead.
  • Work closely with Publishing and Marketing Lead for CBU 1 to monitor and track project marketing budgets.
  • Work with internal Creative team and agencies to brief the creation of localised marketing assets for marketing campaigns.
  • Work with local media, community, social and PR teams to ensure assets are delivered to the right format to meet plan requirements.
  • Manage the routing of internal approvals and localisation for marketing assets.
  • Develop and maintain a clear and structured asset archive across projects.
  • Manage routing of final marketing assets to stakeholders across project, territory and wider SE teams.
  • Record and track action items from meetings and share meeting notes within 24 hours.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the asset delivery process and/or tools.
  • Upon swiftly building understanding of working practices with Square Enix Japan, help facilitate the Square Enix Western Marketing team’s communication flow regarding a wide mix of marketing aspects of the projects.
  • Work alongside Square Enix Western and Japanese teams, to identify, schedule and plan needs and tasks to result in efficient marketing campaigns for titles in the portfolio.
  • Assist the publishing strategy team with setting up vendors, work orders and purchase orders in internal systems.


Knowledge amp; Experience:
  • Previous coordination experience and comfortable with developing and maintaining a clear approval process across multiple disciplines and teams.
  • Experience of working in the games industry, entertainment, or consumer brands.
  • Comfortable working with different internal and external stakeholders across different time zones.
  • Some agency management experience. The ability to develop a strong partnership with agency partners from brief to delivery.
  • Passionate about the entertainment industry.
  • Some games industry knowledge and passion for games preferred.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Ability to develop, create and maintain an approval process while ensuring multiple disciplines are involved and consulted (Studio, Brand, Marketing, Localisation and Legal).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Good knowledge of project management methods and tools
  • Team player and relationship focused individual able to collaborate and interface with a wide range of partners, both internally and externally.
  • Positive attitude, good time management and ability to complete assignments within tight and often difficult deadlines.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to flexibly accommodate for shifting needs.
  • Proactive amp; highly motivated self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Japanese language skills and/or experience working with Japanese corporations is a bonus.
