Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant PR Manager will work within the Export PR team, reporting to the PR Manager to plan and execute PR campaigns across various markets in EMEA. This includes Australia, Spain, Italy, Nordics, Middle East amongst others.

As a key member of the Export PR team, you will be a multi-skilled PR professional able to adapt and create PR plans for multiple regional markets, lead on a select number of projects and across the wider portfolio.

You will need to manage local PR teams to maximise media coverage and ensure delivery of communication campaigns on time, on spec and within budget.

The successful candidate will be a results-driven PR professional, with a creative mind and a broad understanding of how to deliver a successful KPI-led campaign, with a demonstrable passion and skill set to deliver results with proven experience within PR, particularly in video games.

Requirements

Key Deliverables:
  • Working with the PR Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and executing plans for a select number of upcoming campaigns and assisting the with the day-to-day management of the local teams.
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Create, plan, and execute Export PR communication tactics and approaches.
  • Ensure that all assets, press releases and other PR opportunities are fully maximised.
  • Manage the PR budget for the assigned products, in coordination with PR Manager. Ensure that POs are raised, tracked in accordance with agreed budgets.
  • Conceptualise, plan, and execute activations on a single region or multi-regional bases to deliver on campaign goals.
  • Copy creation across variety of disciplines press releases, promotional activity etc
  • Develop and nurture great working relationships with media, the wider strategy team, and wider Territory PR stakeholders, to ensure a seamless and collaborative approach to campaigns.
  • Manage local territory distribution teams to deliver effective plans, innovative activities and on time reporting.
  • Co-ordinate announcements, review codes and asset distribution to distributor teams
  • Maintain and update media lists and contact databases.
  • Co-ordination of press events and conferences.
  • Day to day management of PR agencies.
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required.
  • Foster strong working relationships across the media landscape.
  • Co-ordinate announcements, PR assets distribution to Export media and partners.
  • Align the Export PR campaigns and approaches with other cross functional teams, such as the Influencer Strategy team.
  • Develop PR relationships with first parties (Sony/MS/Nintendo etc) and key partners, to enhance campaign KPIs.
  • Be the lead for all asset distribution from official press channels.
  • Understanding and ability to manage of influencers and influencer campaign and related requirements.
  • Ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Knowledge amp; Experience:

Essential:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent writing and creative skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing deadlines without compromising quality
  • Previous Games Industry experience, either within agency or publisher side.
  • Creative thinker with common sense and ability to take initiative, identify potential problems/issues and react/advise accordingly.

Desirable:

  • Degree or diploma in PR, Marketing, or a related field
  • Interest and knowledge of video games
