This role will suit either an experienced carpenter/joiner educator who wishes to join a college that will treat you well and provide you with a solid career, or a time-served carpenter who is looking for a new career within teaching and who wants to inspire and guide the next generation in their craft.
NO TEACHING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED the college have an excellent programme called off the tools which is designed to provide support to tradesmen who have come directly from industry, and will equip you with everything you need to become a confident teacher and gain a teaching qualification!

About the Job
- You’ll be based at the college’s Port Academy campus, teaching the next generation of carpenters/joiners in Levels 1-3 Camp;J.
- This position would be ideal for an experienced carpenter, who is looking for a role less physically demanding, and wants to be instrumental in helping to train the next generation of carpenters.
About You
- You will be passionate about teaching amp; learning
- Ability to work with and motivate colleagues and teams to achieve organisational goals.
- NVQ Level 3 qualified in Carpentry/joinery
- You’ll need to either possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one
- You’ll be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment
