Job Description

We are looking for a strong Project Manager to join Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Technology’s world class teams who are working to make our clients happy. You will be managing the full project-lifecycle from inception, delivery through to the infancy phases. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will manage a project team working with directly with the customer and third parties, overseeing the project in-line with the agreed objectives leading all the stakeholders to a successful outcome.

A bit about the role:

The role will be focused on leading the consolidation of two of the clients warehouses. This will involve migrating all stock and systems data from one site, consolidating everything into the second warehouse. You will be responsible for planning and driving all activities required to deliver the project on time and on budget.

You will be encouraged to form strong relationships with your team and will be expected to drive deliveries to high standards whilst managing a broader delivery plan and the communication and governance with our clients and third parties. What you’ll be doing:

  • Project Management responsibility for the project life cycle
  • Lead the delivery of complex cross functional projects, managing third-parties in delivering key changes to our clients omni-channel business
  • Lead all aspects of a project from design though to delivery, supported by the relevant functional delivery teams
  • Help shape and contribute an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across the project
  • Motivation of the team to achieve individual and team objectives
  • Interaction with client senior management and business stakeholders
  • Building customer confidence by understanding their needs and delivering first class solutions
  • Issues and Risks identification, mitigation and resolution
  • Regular reporting both internally and to the client
  • Production and maintenance of Project Plan and Budgets
  • Keeping up to date with emerging industry practices
  • Management of the commercials for a project
  • Project resource planning and management

What we want from you:

  • Extensive Project Management experience in Supply Chain management/Logistics, with experience in eCommerce ideally within a retail environment
  • Own the overall programme and workstream plans and ensure all workstreams are completing activities to schedule.
  • Identify for each workstream a critical path milestone plan and report weekly against progress.
  • Manage the programme risk maps and RAIDD log and keep updated and aligned with internal audit team
  • Ability to define, manage and deliver to customer expectations within strict deadlines
  • Comfortable with complex technical environments and legacy systems integration
  • Experience of managing multiple projects with some exposure to eCommerce or web-based projects
  • Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including project budgeting, monitoring financials, reporting etc) of at least 10 million
  • Experience of managing 3rd parties and/or working as a supplier for a client
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and be able to deal with ambiguity
  • Experience of using collaborative development management tools such as Jira and Confluence for the effective management and reporting of delivery and progress
  • Proven time management amp; organisational skills
  • Strong dependency management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Relevant Project Management qualifications
