THE PHOTO STUDIO TEAM
Based in Here East, Stratford, the Photo Studio team is an integral part of the business and is responsible for the creation of the product page content on MATCHESFASHION. Made up of a 90+ strong team that is still growing, we have Stock Controllers, Production Co-Ordinators, Photographers, Retouchers, Videographers, Stylists, Size and Fit Specialists, Copywriters, and Translators who all ensure imagery and specifications are captured swiftly as products enter the business. If you join the team, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle process. We don’t compromise on our high standards and champion two-way-door thinking that puts the customer at the forefront of everything we do. We see MATCHESFASHION as a global pioneer in the industry and we make it our aim to create inspiring content that underscores a luxury experience for our customers.
ROLE:
As the global product content team’s French-language Senior Sub-Editor, your will be key to the delivery of our French-language product page content. Reporting to the Translation Manager, you will edit translations provided by an external agency, ensuring the language is clear, precise and maintaining a modern-luxury style, in line with the MATCHESFASHION tone of voice. You will bring your local knowledge of the French eCommerce market and have experience translating high-quality content that has a strong fashion point of view. You will have an enthusiasm for fashion, an in-depth knowledge of designers and trends, be organised and able to meet strict daily deadlines, and manage your own workload within a fast-paced environment. You will have demonstrable management experience and will be responsible for leading a team of Midweight and freelance editors based in our Photo Studio. Highly organised and production-minded, you will work closely with the French Translation Manager to create a seamless translation workflow, ensuring that all translated copy is subbed and approved in a timely manner, and to a high standard.
