Job Description

Aircraft Engineering Services (AES Ltd) are inviting applications for a Station Manager to be based at Birmingham Airport, working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europe's largest airline.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the UK General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of Ryanair's Engineering Line Stations in BHX, EMA and BRS. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents/AOG’s and Third-Party Liaison.

• Manpower planning, recruitment, retention and staff performance management.

• Ensuring appropriate spares and equipment are available at each location.

• Budgeting, invoicing and negotiation/management of contracts with external suppliers/companies

• Conducting regular base visits, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory (UK CAA and EASA) compliance.

• Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports and Non-Compliances, implementing strategies to prevent recurrence

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is ready, willing and able to manage technical teams in a diverse and fast-changing environment. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and effectively communicate progress to Senior Management.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Proven leadership experience, capable of remotely managing diverse teams.

• Previous experience in Aviation Maintenance (UK/EASA Part 145) is advantageous, but not essential.

• Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Applicants must have unrestricted right-to-work in the UK, hold a valid Full-UK Driving Licence and be willing to travel and work within the EU
