Reporting into our Risk, Controls and Compliance Manager, you will work with stakeholders across Motability to manage and deliver on second and third line assurance activities. You will also be responsible for performing internal audits, taking through from planning to completion along with assisting with the design and structure of our internal audit plan.

You will be responsible for liaising with senior management in order to identify additional assurance activity, ensuring that the audit plan is relevant and up to date. Alongside this, you will also support with promoting the data protection and risk management frameworks throughout the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have a background in internal auditing with the ability to balance risk with the operational needs of the organisation. You will ideally have previous experience within the charity sector and either already achieved or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to stakeholders in a clear and structured way. Alongside this, you will be an analytical thinker with a strong attention to detail with the ability to form good judgements and think objectively.

At Motability we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year.

We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.
