Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Solution Architect to join their team. The role is based in Corsham with onsite working required 2-3 days/week. The role requires SC clearance.
Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/03/2025. Rate offered is up to 710/day.
IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

The Role
There is a requirement for a Solution Architect to support the Project in the Cyber Resilience Programme. CRP is a transformation programme focused on comprehensive change over 10 years to achieve material risk reduction against risks and fix known cyber gaps and vulnerabilities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect. IT generalist preferred, no requirement for a SME due to the varied nature of systems in scope.
- Proficient in understanding system architectures and an ability to convey core components to both technical and non-technical audiences, with a particular emphasis on understanding and if necessary, further developing the cyber risk use cases for testing.
- Comfortable working in an environment where a partial information set is normal. Able to make judgments accordingly and with the flexibility to change when new information becomes available.
- Experienced in presenting to different stakeholders from technical teams to C level.
- Good at stakeholder management, understanding and managing different user requirements both internal and externally with partners.
- Strong and demonstrable ability to effectively advocate for, influence and persuade different stakeholders to engage with the project.
- Strong written English and excellent documentation skillset, able to effectively write for different audiences e.g. C Suite, Technical teams, hackers, external ‘blog’ type communications.
- Comfortable working as part of a team with plenty of cross over between different streams.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of Government agencies.
- Security architecture background.
- Cyber security experience, particularly with red teams, penetration testing or ethical hacking.
- Experience with Vulnerability Management.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- NIST familiarity.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 General visas cannot be accepted.
