Requirements

You will be working in one of our engineering squads tasked with gathering behaviour event data from third party systems, then storing and organising it. This data is key to CybSafe’s ambitions, and enables us to prove the effectiveness of our customers’ cyber security strategy and offer interventions as rapidly as possible to influence behaviour. A typical day in the squad might include the following:

• Building internet applications at scale
• Delivering an experience second to none for the hundreds of thousands of people on our platform, cyber security professionals, and tribe members using internal tools
• Writing code that your colleagues admire for it’s readability and elegance
• Designing and maintaining innovative software applications
• Refining high level designs into lower level, actionable technical specifications
• Supporting our Open Source projects like phishtray: We’re helping research and giving away software, everyone at CybSafe has time to contribute

Our ideal candidate

• Minimum 2-3 years of commercial experience in hands-on coding role
• Strong experience in Python, Django, and Django REST framework
• Thorough understanding of software engineering principles
• Distributed system design, including data intensive applications, and path to production
• Experience in developing and maintaining fast, scalable and well-documented APIs
• Good experience in designing data models for relational databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to self growth amp; care
• Experience working with relational databases

Experience that would be a bonus:

• Developing and maintaining fast, scalable and well-documented APIs
• Data modelling for relational databases
• Exposure to non-relational databases
• Working with data at scale
• Work within cyber security industry, or good understanding of this domain
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
