Location: Battersea, London (SW8 4AS) / Salary: 11.95 per hour / Contract: Casual worker
The role
We're looking for a casual Ad hoc Delivery Driver to join our logistics team, collecting and delivering laundry across London. Driving our long-wheel base, high roof electric van, you'll be the face of Oxwash, interacting with our valued customers and delivering the premium services that we offer. Based on our current business needs, it is highly likely you will be offered 4-hour day shifts from 6:00am till 10:00am Monday to Friday, therefore we are looking for a candidate who is currently available at these days and times.
There may also be additional opportunities to work for up to 8 hours a day, between 6:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the Oxwash eVan
- Collecting and delivering customers' laundry on time and in line with our Oxwash processes
- Communicating quickly and effectively with customers and colleagues, especially our Customer Service team
- Maintaining sustainability at every corner
Requirements
Key qualities and competencies:
- Driving - You must have proven professional driving experience for at least 2 years, a full clean manual driving licence and obey the rules of the road. Our ideal candidate will also have experience of delivery driving or courier work and experience with a long wheel base (or larger) vehicle.
- Communication - You'll be the face of Oxwash, interacting with our valued customers and delivering the premium services that we offer. You will communicate in a respectful and professional way.
- Team player - We're on a really exciting growth trajectory, so enthusiasm and a willingness to muck in are key. When you're not busy riding you'll help process laundry or assist with other essential areas like customer service.
- Adaptability - Things may change at short notice and you will take those changes in your stride and adapt as needed.
- Tech literacy - We are obsessed with tech and automation. You will learn how to use our logistics software and support our use of real-time data.
Desirable Experience (we'd love it if you had this experience, but don't be deterred if not):
- Cycling - You will ideally be confident in cycling a bike, but it is not essential;
- Courier or other delivery work (especially driving a van) or perhaps customer service or hospitality work;
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Benefits
A salary of 11.95 per hour
Pro rata equivalent to 30 days’ holiday plus 1 Mental Health Day off.
