We are a leading wholesale distributor to the Fish amp; Chip industry and our business is growing at a fast pace. To help us ensure we continue to offer the very best levels of service we are recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor at our Bristol depot.
The right person will have the dedication and flexibility to work in a varied role to support the depot management developing a strong team of warehouse staff and drivers. Ideally you will have some experience of supervising or leading a team in warehousing and logistics. However, we would also like to hear from experienced warehouse operatives who are ambitious and keen to progress with a logical, hands-on approach and are willing to apply themselves to whatever is required to get the job done! You will be hard-working with a desire to learn and an ability to use your initiative to improve yourself and the company.
Other key elements of the role include:
- Stock control
Ø Routine stock counts Ambient and Frozen
Ø Regular aisle / location checks
Ø Aged stock reporting
Ø Damage Control
Ø Returns
- Investigate picking errors identifying root cause
- Drive picking performance
- Site maintenance and cleanliness
- Continuous Improvement mentality
- Promote and encourage Clean As You Go Policy
Requirements
Working hours:
09.00 18.00 Monday Friday only (no weekends) 45 hours per week including 1 hours paid break.
Depot has an operational window of 06.00 to 18.00 so the successful candidate will, at times, be required to be flexible and work with the Depot Manager and Assistant Depot Manager to ensure management/ supervisory presence throughout the operational window.
