- Location: Hybrid working in London, UK. Our team typically come into our swish, wheelchair-accessible office in Elephant amp; Castle 1-3 times per week.

About you
You are an experienced email marketing specialist, ready to take ownership of customer lifecycle for Apolitical to unlock new growth opportunities.
You’ll be passionate about CRM, email, and growth marketing. You are ever-curious about new ways of understanding, reaching and retaining public servants in a data-driven and innovative way. You’ll be results-driven and a self-starter who’s energised by the challenges that working in a startup environment brings.
About the role
You will be joining the Community Engagement amp; Growth team. This team plays an essential role in helping Apolitical achieve its mission by deepening product engagement and retention by the global community of public servants and policymakers on Apolitical. This role will be pivotal in tailoring the customer experience to empower a growing number of civil servants to affect positive global change.
You’ll be responsible for the following:
- You will own the email marketing strategy for onboarding, activating, and retaining customers to the Apolitical community
- You will be the subject matter expert for all things email, following the email industry to bring new ideas, tests, and tools to create a best-in-class programme
- You will work collaboratively across teams to execute on an impact-assessed schedule of email activities, including: building and testing emails, editing for consistency and adherence to best practices, segmentation, scheduling, and reporting
- You will actively monitor and optimise campaigns, applying deep expertise in email deliverability and performance
- You will own and maintain the marketing automation tools and technology that deliver personalised communication across the customer lifecycle
- You will take a user-first approach, with the ability to easily switch between thinking creatively and analytically
- You will leverage a deep understanding of our community of public servants to engage and nurture the right customers, at the right time, with the right messaging
- You will take ownership for forecasting and reporting on associated metrics to drive ongoing business growth
- You will apply a test, iterate and learn mentality using both qualitative user research and quantitative analytics and A/B testing

Requirements
Skills and Experience
- You will have a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, automation, personalisation, compliance, and deliverability
- You will have experience using HubSpot, Iterable or similar CRM and customer automation platforms to execute lifecycle marketing strategies
- You will have experience using Google Analytics or similar website analytics, having applied customer insights to inform data-led decisions
- You have excellent project management and collaboration skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and communicate within the team and with key stakeholders
