The Role
Wattbike is an exciting brand with a big future, and we’re looking for a Parts Control Teamleader to ensure stock accuracy and availability across all Wattbike warehouse locations is maintained based on sales forecasts and by assessing previous part consumption history
Working as part of our operations team, and reporting to our Head of Operations, you'll be the main point of contact for all parts requirements and ordering, dealing with all Internal Teams from accounts to Service Centre, as well as external customers and service agents.
To be successful in this role, you’ll:
- Be able to prioritise, plan and find solutions quickly and consistently is a critical part of this role
- Have previous experience of planning and raising purchase orders ideally in a supply chain, logistics, engineering or manufacturing environment
- Be a natural communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Be a positive and self-motivated individual, and a commitment to the goals at hand.
- Be competent with various IT packages (especially at ease with using databases and spreadsheets) into Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
- Be a passionate, cross-functional, and proactive operator, both remotely and face-to-face.
- Be comfortable with challenging the status quo; in asking ‘why’ and ‘why not’.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Review parts requirement for the business (using sales forecasts and historical data coupled with leadtimes and MOQs) to develop a comprehensive order plan with our key suppliers
- Place Purchase Orders, in-line with your business plan, with suppliers according to plan or individual requests for parts and packaging
- Liaise with internal departments and external service agents to understand the parts requirements and organise the transfer of stock on the business system (Dynamics)
- Organise and provide documentation for monthly stocktakes, inputting data, ensuring accurate completion and reconciliations / investigations are complete in a timely manner
- Use Dynamics to process stock movements / transfers / assembly orders and dispatches as required
- Arrange and manage international shipment of goods and actively resolve any UK courier issues
- Support the supply chain team with ad hoc business reporting and administrative tasks
- Identify continuous improvement across parts order processing and inventory management, Microsoft Dynamics to streamline operational processes across the business.
