Cinematic Capture Artist and Video Editor

Remote, UK (Occasional visits to Manchester/Wakefield/Nottingham studios)


We are seeking a talented and experienced Cinematic Capture Artist and Video Editor to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work showcasing their Unreal Engine capture and video editing. Within this role, you will actively contribute to the development and production of high-quality trailers and video assets across our diverse range of games.

What You Will be Working On

The Cinematic Capture artist will be responsible for conceptualizing, capturing and editing high-quality trailers and video assets.

Your Day-To-Day

  • Developing and planning exceptional cinematic capture concepts for high-quality in-engine cinematic trailers.
  • Using Unreal Engine Sequencer and a high proficiency with Unreal Engine tools, create impactful and powerful in game scenes and sequences to capture from
  • Conducting in-game and in-engine shot captures, either collaborating with our video editors or independently working on trailer projects to produce exceptional video assets.
  • Collaborating with Brand Managers and external studios to conceptualize trailers and video assets, ensuring they align with the creative vision for their games.
  • Engaging in video editing and trailer development as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine sequencer.
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite, including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • An intuitive understanding of focal length, framing and depth of field to simulate real-world cameras in UE4.
  • A passion for playing First-person shooters.
  • Extensive experience in a comparable role.
  • Prior involvement in the video games industry.
  • Exceptional aptitude for trailer development with a creative vision.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a close team environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proactive and positive mindset.

The Interview Process

The interview process for the Cinematic Capture Artist role is made up of 3 stages:

  • Stage 1 (30 minutes) A quick introductory call with one of the TA team to briefly assess your experience and run over the role in greater detail
  • Stage 2 (30 minutes) A formal meeting with our Creative Marketing Services Manager and Senior Video Editor to further discuss your experience to date and assess your skillset relating to the role
  • Stage 3 (60 minutes) A final interview with 2 members of the Creative Services team and the Brand Manager to assess your suitability within the team along with understanding your future aspirations. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask any questions as well.
