Senior Agile Project Manager - Freelance, London
We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Agile PM. If you have some serious digital agency and product experience and you’re quick, communicative and organised then this could be the role for you.
This role will be driving technical delivery using Agile Scrum methodologies on one of Hugo amp; Cat’s largest accounts, working side-by-side with a London-based technical delivery team and the account’s client leadership and product design team in our New York office. You’ll serve as the bridge between UX, CX, design and technology delivery. This role will include tasks such as creation and ownership of a product backlog, user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as leading Scrum responsibilities. This role will collaborate closely with the product design team, responsible for defining viability and creating the end experience, and the delivery team, responsible for technical implementation and client management.
You’ll need to have fantastic communication skills, hold a high degree of responsibility, and the diplomacy to build relationships and manage external and internal stakeholders whilst keeping projects on track. You will ensure our internal processes are translated into working practices and be responsible for ensuring these are adhered to at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting client-side project stakeholders by representing requirements and business value within Hugo amp; Cat
- Support with workshops to elicit, review, prioritise and document business requirements for ticket creation and roadmap planning
- Co-owning client demos and milestone readout sessions with stakeholders
- Managing feature prioritisation, ensuring stakeholders understand constraints
- Contributing to the creation of business process models and workflows, working with the team’s Product Owner
- Crafting delivery backlogs including the creation of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria, and translating these requirements to a roadmap
- Own, maintain, refine and prioritise the team backlog with the input from the team
- Advising customer experience and creative design teams to help bring the product to life
Requirements
This is a key role and you will be expected to hit the ground running on live client projects:
- 4+ years’ experience managing and delivering projects within top digital agency or client environment, including complex projects across a breadth of technologies and channels
- Deep industry knowledge, with experience in a relevant area such as UX, Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Product Management, Technical Program Manager, Scrum Master or similar
- Strong knowledge of Sitecore and familiarity with Azure DevOps
- Extensive experience of working within a digital product delivery environment using Agile methodologies and Scrum framework, leading and running Scrum ceremonies with ease
- Proven ability to create, manage and track against a milestones (e.g. roadmap or timeline), flagging blockers, dependencies etc early on to avoid delays
- Good technical background and demonstrable business analysis skill set
- Experience working with UX, CX, CMS, design and development teams on a daily basis across a split geography team, across the US, London and further afield
- Monitor effort estimation, velocity, and capacity on a per project basis and work with your product owner and project director to mitigate any issues that arise
- Strong ability to self-manage; self-driven and independent, requiring little day-to-day oversight
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interact in a clear, sensitive but persuasive manner - high level influencing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively but with the confidence to make clear and reasoned decisions
- Ability to work well under pressure, whilst remaining objective and retaining a positive approach
- Outstanding communication skills at all levels, (presentation, written, verbal)
- Highly organised and tenacious, with exceptional attention to detail
- Exceptional skills in MS Excel, Word and Project and Azure DevOps, with a very high degree of overall computer literacy
