Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a Clinical Care Provider based in York, North Yorkshire

The Role

You will be overseeing the management of financial reporting, along with various other responsibilities.

With one direct report, the Group Financial Accountant is responsible for managing reporting, both internal and external as well as supporting colleagues and the management team when required. You will manage corporate reporting, the group external audit and development of associated financial processes including integration of acquired businesses.

You will need be an experienced Group Financial Accountant with industry experience, ideally ACA qualified, and a strong technical accounting background keen to drive change and ensure excellence.

Duties

Key audit contact, responsible for coordinating and managing the external audit of the group, including liaising with contacts across the business and management of deliverables to ensure a smooth audit process

• Overseeing the month-end process, reviewing postings and results to ensure a robust and efficient process prior to CFO and board review
• Completion of periodic internal reporting, ensuring board slides are updated on a timely basis with results for the month
• Statutory and Group accounts preparation, ensuring annual financial statements are prepared to a high standard
• Day to day management of treasury, ensuring liquidity requirements are met through short term cashflow forecasting and approving bank payments
• Assisting with integration of business acquisitions
• Management and oversight of group tax compliance and tax strategy.
• Management of statutory tax/filing deadlines incl. reporting and payments.
• Ensuring financial control, compliance and risk management objectives for the group are achieved
• Acting as technical accounting lead for the group and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards
• Leading and developing the Accounts Assistant
