About you

You’ll be joining the Operations division as a Senior Treasury Operations Analyst in the Client Services team. Reporting to the Treasury Operations Manager, you’ll be a part of a fast-growing business that is challenging the market and doing things differently.

As a Senior Treasury Operations Analyst, you will support and deliver operational tasks and facilitate the day to day running of the ClearBank FX settlement, Treasury Operations, and related activities to ensure our customers receive exceptional service. In this Operations based role, you will interact with cross-functional teams across the business and third parties to deliver and perform daily tasks. You will act as close support to the Treasury Operations Manager and use your knowledge to help educate other team members.

Working Hours

The Treasury Operations team operating hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, although there may be some requirement for supporting other teams outside these hours as required. This necessitates regular changes/flexibility to starting and finishing hours (i.e. 8:00am to 4:30pm some weeks, and 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on other weeks). Candidates that are applying need to be comfortable with this working structure.

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Enable a culture of continuous improvement of our processes and workflows by being proactive and innovative
  • Support Team Leaders where necessary, working closely with them to achieve and deliver results
  • Provide education and guidance for others working in the team, especially in the specialist area of Treasury and Cash management tasks
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleagues and, where necessary, external parties ensuring the service provided is of a high standard
  • Produce reports and management information where necessary

Requirements

What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates who are currently working in a Treasury Operations or FX Back Office role focused on funding, FX settlement, FX netting, and related investigations.

In addition, candidates need to have:-

  • Extensive experience of FX and international/cross border payments
  • Good knowledge and experience of SWIFT MT messaging, and equivalent ISO 20022 standards
  • Experienced at investigating and resolving reconciliation differences
  • Good understanding of resolving FX post trade queries, including interest claims and back-valuation adjustments
  • Accomplished at agreeing cash and liquidity positions and when funding is required for the various currency accounts
  • Knowledge of direct interaction with trading counterparts with regard to forecasting, agreeing, netting, and settling the proceeds of FX trades
  • Knowledge of Repo and reverse-Repo post trade activities, and other liquidity management instruments,
  • Previous experience working with Treasury/Cash Management Systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple items concurrently
  • Ability to embrace new technology and have an agile mindset
  • Knowledge of what APIs are and how they work in financial messaging would be
