Job Description

As we enter an exciting chapter for The National Lottery, the vision to make TNL bigger, better and safer has already begun with teams across Camelot and future operator Allwyn UK working together to build an exciting future. We're excited about the creation of the Reward Manager role which will be a critical role in helping us shape and deliver the future reward strategy to ensure our people do their best work and ensuring we have the right mechanisms in place to reward this.

You'll spend most of your time (up to 70%) working with the Allwyn People team to devise and deliver the key activities established in our People programme and ensure the transition of operations goes as smoothly as possible as well as standing up a sustainable, forward-thinking strategy for reward going forward.

This is a hybrid working role with at least 2 days in the office and the rest working from home. Both Camelot and Allwyn offices are based in the Watford area.

A Place To Be You

We want to create games that appeal to people from all walks of life and we need a rich and diverse blend of people to make that happen. We hire exclusively on talent and we want our employees to feel like they can bring their whole selves to work every day.

How you'll make a difference

  • Creation and delivery of annual reward and recognition cycles
  • You'll play a crucial role in landing a new benefits platform for the organisation.
  • Implementation of future job families, titles, and grading structure.
  • Continual review of benefits offering and incentives using your experience with the aim of being bigger, better, and safer.

What you'll bring to the table

  • We want a subject matter expert. You'll have deep experience in reward practice and programmes and know how to get these delivered.
  • You'll bring excellent data and analytical skills. You'll love a spreadsheet but you also love what the narrative is behind the numbers.
  • You'll influence people at all levels, from working with the Chief People Officer and Chief Financial Officer on Remco activities to working with multiple stakeholder groups to land and communicate key initiatives.
  • You'll be a great team player, this ain't the place for mavericks, you'll appreciate the value of delivering together.
  • You'll bring an approach that is inclusive, innovative with full trust in how you get the job done.
  • This role has a team of two reporting in, you'll be someone who empowers teams to go above and beyond.

What we’ll give you

We look after our people. There’s a competitive bonus and benefits scheme, 26 days of annual leave and a rather generous pension scheme. Thinking about your health? No probs - we’ll give you full private medical cover, access to dental schemes, eye care rebates, your annual flu shot, 50% off your annual gym membership, we’ll even give you access to remote health and wellbeing support - including access to a free digital GP and virtual counselling. We’ll give you all of the kit and tools needed to succeed.

We take your development very seriously. We encourage you to treat every day as a learning day, we offer a series of AMAZING Learning Events throughout the year and you’ll have access to the Camelot Playbook from day one - a guide to help you be your best.

Why work at Camelot?

  • Camelot is the operator of The National Lottery. For 2022/23, we achieved the second highest National Lottery sales of 8.19 billion through our retail and digital channels, and we accomplished this with a workforce of just over 1,000 people - meaning every one of us has a big part to play in making a difference.
  • Camelot’s mission is to change lives for the better - both the lives of National Lottery winners and the lives of the millions of people who benefit from the average of 36 million in Good Causes funding that is raised weekly by National Lottery players. In 2022/23, 1.87 billion was generated for Good Causes, and you can find out more about them here.
  • On top of this, we placed #10 in the Top 100 Large Companies list at the 2021 Best Companies Awards, as well as ranking as the #1 Large Company in London.
  • National-lottery.co.uk is one of the UK’s leading e-commerce sites and we have more than 10.7 million active registered players. We also operate some of the UK’s biggest FMCG brands, including the iconic Lotto and EuroMillions, with almost 36 million people playing National Lottery games at least once last year.
