If you’re looking to learn while you earn, look no further than Aiimi! Our data science apprenticeship programme starts this September 2023 in partnership with MK:U. So, if you’re an intelligent, quirky, ambitious problem solver or creative thinker keen on tech, this is a fantastic opportunity to study a BSc (Hons) Degree in Data Science while working on real projects across the utilities, insurance, defence, retail sectors, and more.
At Aiimi, our apprentices will get heaps of hands-on experience with our industry-wide customers, access to the very latest technology and software, and support from our highly experienced and knowledgeable data and digital experts. What you’ll learn to succeed in your career...
Throughout your four-year apprenticeship at Aiimi, you’ll learn a range of skills specifically designed to prepare you for a successful career in Data Science. Looking beyond the nuts and bolts of data itself, you’ll learn about business operations, different stakeholder roles, and the impacts of Data Science on different organisations.
Our insightful Aiimi mentors will also teach you all you need to know about:
- Software development lifecycle
- Data visualisation with Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI
- Basics of Python programming and how to collate the information you need
Our practical skills-based degree apprenticeship will equip you with both the technical know-how and the core skills you’ll need to get ahead in your data science career from day one.
How MK:U offers a perfectly blended course...
MK:U offers a whole new refreshing experience compared to the more traditional ‘lecture and exam’ approach in place at many universities. MK:U’s curriculum focuses on problem-based learning, so you’ll spend 20% of your time studying and 80% developing your career within Aiimi. This means you’ll have ample opportunities to put your theoretical learning into practice in real business situations!
And as the MK:U campus is just a short walk from Aiimi’s HQ, you’ll get to enjoy the best of both worlds a space to be a student and a space to be an employee all in one local area.
Requirements
People come from all different walks of life. Whether you’ve recently left school, have workplace experience, are self-taught, or perhaps you’re looking for a career change later in life, we don’t mind. As long as you’re passionate about data and technology, we’d love to hear from you!
Apprenticeship funding may be available if you have:
- Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years before the programme starts
- Left full-time education before the programme starts
- The right to live and work in the UK
Please note: Apprentices without Level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level before taking the End-Point Assessment.
