If you’re looking to learn while you earn, look no further than Aiimi! Our software development apprenticeship programme starts this September 2023 in partnership with MK College. So, if you’re an intelligent, quirky, ambitious problem solver or creative thinker keen on tech, this is a fantastic opportunity to study you apprenticeship in Software Development while working on real projects internally for Aiimi and across the utilities, insurance, defence, retail sectors, and more.
At Aiimi, our apprentices will get heaps of hands-on experience with our industry-wide customers, access to the very latest technology and software, and support from our highly experienced and knowledgeable developmentand data experts. What you’ll learn to succeed in your career...
Throughout your two-year apprenticeship at Aiimi, you’ll learn a range of skills specifically designed to prepare you for a successful career in Software Development. Looking beyond the nuts and bolts of development and data itself, you’ll learn about business operations, different stakeholder roles, and the impacts of Development on different organisations.
The role will see you gain experience in the following areas:
- Software development lifecycle
- Agile ceremonies by working as part of a scrum team. These will include regular stand ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews etc.
- Gaining skills in areas such as Software development, quality assurance and User Experience
- Building you technical knowledge in areas such as C#, SQL, Python, .Net, Angular, Elastic Search and more
Our practical skills-based apprenticeship will equip you with both the technical know-how and the core skills you’ll need to get ahead in your career from day one.
How MK College offers a perfectly blended course...
You will spend one day per week with MK College gaining knowledge across a range of areas. The rest of the week you will be working wioth the Aiimi team from our MK office.
Requirements
People come from all different walks of life. Whether you’ve recently left school, have workplace experience, are self-taught, or perhaps you’re looking for a career change later in life, we don’t mind. As long as you’re passionate about development, data and technology, we’d love to hear from you!
Apprenticeship funding may be available if you have:
- Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years before the programme starts
- Left full-time education before the programme starts
- The right to live and work in the UK
Please note: Apprentices without Level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level before taking the End-Point Assessment.
