As the Marketing and Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company by driving engagement with the arts and cultural sector on digital trends and topics.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing and digital professional who is eager to take on a broad role and make a tangible impact. As an exceptional communicator, you will take the lead on copywriting and other content creation initiatives for Made. You'll have the freedom to focus on areas that align with your interests while ensuring the creation of compelling written content remains a priority.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Strategy, collaborating closely to develop Made Media's comprehensive marketing plan for engaging with the arts, cultural, and live event sectors on a global scale. Once the plan is finalized, you will take charge of its implementation, bringing it to life through your strategic execution. Additionally, you will act as an ambassador for Made Media, forging valuable partnerships through one-to-one interactions with potential clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Made Media’s marketing strategy, including:
    • Audience identification and research.
    • Market segmentation and targeting.
    • Made positioning and strategy.
  • Own Made’s content planning and delivery, including content for our website, social channels, email, and our Made Next periodical.
  • Develop individual relationships with potential Made clients and partners through social media, industry events and professional bodies.
  • Lead on relationships with key partners, including industry bodies and event organisers.
  • Establish necessary supplier relationships for tools and services required to deliver on the marketing strategy.
  • Manage Made Media’s marketing platforms, including email marketing and CRM tools.
  • Keep up to date on industry and digital trends and apply these to the marketing and engagement plan.
  • Attend appropriate events and conferences on behalf of Made Media, both virtually and in-person, and coordinate Made’s participation in these events working with the organiser and Made’s Operations Coordinator.
  • Engage the whole Made team as appropriate to deliver on the marketing and sector engagement strategy.


Practicalities

  • This role will be remote, but you must be based somewhere in the United Kingdom or the United States. You must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom or United States, without sponsorship.
  • You may be asked to attend company meetings, which usually take place in Birmingham (UK) or New York City (USA) every 3-6 months, although adjustments can be made for remote participation in these if required. This role will also provide opportunities for travel, including internationally.
  • We are advertising this as a full-time role, however we are happy to consider it as a part-time or job-share role too.

Requirements

Essential

The successful candidate is likely to have most of the following:

  • At least five years’ experience in a marketing position where they have had a significant role in developing and implementing strategy.
  • A firm grip of marketing strategy, and an awareness of how it is applied in a B2B environment.
  • An ability to discuss digital designs, products, and user experience with a range of stakeholders, including client leadership teams.
  • Commercial awareness and acumen; understanding how commercial factors will influence our marketing and sector engagement strategy.
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to writ
