Job Description

The Role

This role is a 1 year maternity cover.

This is a customer-facing role in which you are representative of the Boohoo Group and first-rate communication and exceptional customer service skills are required.

The role requires decision making to ensure smooth and safe running of business operations, involves constant change and therefore the ability to anticipate and co-manage continuous change is essential.

You will support the Catering amp; Hospitality Managers to drive and maintain operational standards and develop a team that achieves results and seeks continuous improvement. Your all-round experience will be key in maintaining a calm demeanour in periods of high volume and ensuring the Cafe is always operating to a high spec.

You will demonstrate a duty of care by working within the health and safety and food safety act 1990, and subsequent regulations.

The role directly and positively impacts all colleagues at the Soho office. The role is key to our ability to ‘do business’ efficiently making it a great place to work. The target being to ensure we put our ‘internal’ Customers 1st.

What you'll be doing

  • Be accountable for the onsite management, monitoring and control of service contracts alongside Facilities and IT teams, to ensure that all equipment/services provided are at the highest standards to ensure business operations are not at risk.
  • To ensure that weekly and monthly financial reports are prepared and presented to Catering amp; Facilities Management, Finance amp; Payroll
  • To manage and monitor weekly sales, reporting any discrepancies as they arise
  • To be responsible for the management and efficient operation of catering and hospitality and ensure delivery of an exceptional standard across site
  • To be responsible for the management of your direct report ensuring that they are customer focused at all times, receive role related training with sign off from management and adhere to all Legal, Health amp; Food Safety requirements

Managing the Team:

  • Understands, communicates, and manages employees to achieve the goals of the organisation
  • Leads by example in all work-related activities, acting as a role model for employees
  • Encourages and accepts feedback and modifies communication style to achieve best results
  • Carries out performance reviews, discipline amp; grievance, and absence management of direct reports
  • Proactively delivers barista training, basic food hygiene practise, Natasha’s Law amp; Food Management system protocol, COSHH, HACCP, customer service skills and all other job-related training for direct reports
  • Ensures the coffee machine is maintained to a level 3 standard and regular grinder maintenance is carried out
  • All direct reports maintain the highest standard of personal hygiene, presentation, body language and conduct

Selling:

  • Upkeep of the epos system ensuring all reports and accounts are maintained
  • Complete daily sales reports
  • Ensure all catering equipment is in good working order and regular maintenance is scheduled
  • Establish continual customer presence
  • Maintain appropriate food and beverage stock levels, including ordering, stock checks and waste management
  • Stock and replenish counters and service points as necessary, ensuring stock rotation
  • Provide feedback to department manager on product sales, produce food products, and display p.o.s accordingly to enhance amp; maximise sales
  • Anticipates customer needs and gains agreement for solutions with manager

Service:

  • Sets pace for the day, coordinating service to run as efficiently and smoothly as possible
