Job Description

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Technical Lead to join their team. The role is based in Corsham with onsite working required 2-3 days/week. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/08/2024. Rate offered is up to 710/day.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Background

The current Project has identified a requirement for a Technical Lead role. Working closely with Joint User, CAP and Dstl this role requires technical leadership that looks to next generation technology and solutions, identify low TRL developments and accelerate these through to in service cyber protection services and tooling.

The Technical Lead will provide technical vision and leadership, working closely with the PM and BA and also the Project overall Technical Lead to ensure that the Project is coherent both with project team and the wider enterprise.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Programme to understand future Chief Scientific Advisor funded programme and what benefits it many have for the Project’s customer community.
  • Work with Joint User to develop anInnovation strategy and implement with PM and BA.
  • Benchmarking is delivered by a supplier. The Technical Lead will technically partner this contract to ensure validity and veracity of benchmarking exercises findings and ensure that improvement recommendations are technically viable.
  • Act as technical partner for metrics work. Supplier currently contracted to deliver initial metrics framework. Work with supplier to assess validity and veracity of the deliverables. Interpret the key findings and communicate to stakeholder community.
  • Coordinate assessment of DASA calls.
  • Help identify and develop key requirements for the Project in reducing risk to Information Management (IM).
  • Contribute to development and delivery of technical approach for IM work.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Degree level graduate with computer science /engineering / cyber experience.
  • Good communication skills especially to non-technical audience.
  • Ability to simplify complexity.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • NIST framework experience.
  • 5 year cyber experience
  • Defence experience.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 General visas cannot be accepted.
