Regional Logistics Manager
Covering our sites in Meriden (near Coventry) and Bedford
45,000 plus benefits including company car

A vacancy has arisen for a Regional Logistics Manager to lead our teams at Meriden and Bedford. Reporting to our National Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the full logistics operation at both sites.

So, what's the role about?
You’ll lead a team of 20 Drivers delivering Marshalls Mortars and Screeds products on our in-house fleet of specialist vehicles (POD, Auger Tipper, and Mixer trucks) as well as managing third-party vehicles on the sites.

Previous people leadership experience is essential as you will be dealing with all employee relations issues, this includes conducting regular 121s, absence and holiday planning, timekeeping, and training and discipline within your area.

Putting health and safety at the heart of everything you do, you’ll promote and embed these high standards into your team’s culture. You’ll take ownership of all Health, Safety, Quality and Environment standards, and be the go-to person for all audit purposes.

This is a varied role, and you will also coordinate all logistic activities for the area inclusive of transport, plant and stock management whilst driving best practise and efficiency in vehicle availability and utilisation.

What are the skills required?

  • Hold a National CPC and previously named on the relevant O Licence
  • Previous experience in managing transport operations is desirable
  • The skills to manage a team remotely
  • A passion for providing excellent levels of customer service
  • Excellent communication, written and influencing skills with the ability to run highly effective meetings confidently with stakeholders
  • Flexibility with regards to working hours as we may require you to start early / finish late depending on business demands
