• Prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the learning needs of Year 2 students
• Develop and maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
• Assess student understanding and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with school goals and objectives
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and other concerns
• Participate in professional development opportunities and keep up-to-date with current teaching practices
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and behaviour management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Year 2 students in a diverse school setting
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and educational best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
