• Teach foundational skills, such as phonics, counting, and social skills to children in their first year of formal education
• Develop age-appropriate and stimulating lesson plans and resources for students
• Identify learning disabilities and employ techniques to aid children in overcoming them
• Implement innovative and engaging classroom procedures and routines
• Create and maintain a safe and positive classroom environment conducive to learning
• Monitor and evaluate student's progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Participate in staff meetings, extracurricular activities, and other school events

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Primary/Secondary Education or a related field
• Teaching certification
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues
• Experience teaching reception or early years students preferred
• Awareness of the requirements of the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage
• Ability to adapt and use a range of teaching methodologies in lessons
• Experience in identifying and supporting children who may have difficulty learning
