The Manufacturing Team
We have redefined the eBike kit product category with excellent design and innovative technology, with our Manufacturing Team being key to producing our kits and delivering products to our customers. To achieve the best possible manufacturing process, we have assembled a manufacturing team consisting of Manufacturing, Supply Chain amp; Operations experts.
The role
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations of the factory and warehousing site, ensuring optimal production efficiency, consistency, and timely distribution of products meeting customer deadlines.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to streamline processes, minimise downtime, and enhance overall productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, inventory management, and shipping logistics.
- Manage and develop a diverse manufacturing and warehouse team, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, performance feedback, and support for professional development to ensure a high-performing workforce.
- Uphold and enforce strict safety standards and practices across the site, in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that products meet or exceed agreed standards.
- Implement quality control protocols, conduct inspections, and manage corrective actions to maintain product excellence.
- Fully responsible for stock control on site, and collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce supply chain disruptions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency enhancements, implementing lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Analyse data and provide regular reports to senior management on site performance and propose areas for improvement.
- Track amp; report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, returns processing, and dispatch functions. These will include SQED-based targets such as Hamp;S reporting, daily production targets, quality pass rate, pick error rate, budget spend etc.
- Co-own site Pamp;L for all fixed and variable costs
Requirements
About you:
- Proven experience in managing manufacturing and/or warehousing fulfilment operations, ideally in the ecommerce sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources efficiently and optimise production processes.
- Proven willingness to take ownership and accountability and a keen drive for continuous improvement
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead teams toward achieving goals, on time and on budget.
- Ability to work from our facility in Colton, Norwich and travel to Hackney, London 1 day per month to meet the wider Manufacturing team
