ROLE OVERVIEW

As a member of the commercial leadership team, you will play a key role in providing dealers and manufacturers with inventory finance facilities that supports their working capital needs. Reporting directly into the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible and accountable for the overall performance of the Powersports segment.

You will be a proven sales leader with a track record of success. Leading, inspiring, and driving a high performing sales team will be second nature for you. You will have responsibility for the end-to-end success of your segment, managing manufacturer and dealer relationships through a team of programme and relationship managers. You will take personal ownership of a number of strategic and larger manufacturer and dealer relationships within your segment.

You will be comfortable defining the strategy for your segment, working with the Chief Commercial Officer. You’ll appreciate that building support with stakeholders across the bank and working collaboratively defines commercial success. You will have experience of setting clear goals and objectives, deploying an appropriate review rhythm and proven techniques to coach, develop and support your team. You’ll be commercially sound and adept at balancing risks and rewards. Recognised as a builder of deep client relationships, you’ll have strong negotiation skills and be highly proficient in explaining the benefits of DF Capital’s product offering and how it can help its customers. You think outside of the box and feel comfortable building solutions tailored to customers’ individual needs. Your experience in commercial lending will be a core strength, highly capable of pulling together credit submissions and working with credit teams to construct appropriate terms of business.

You will be a team-player who seeks out support from others across the commercial team, acknowledging the need for consistency in product offering across the firm, the on-going training and development of the wider commercial team, the need for continuous improvement and drive to deliver best in class service to our customers.

You will be happy taking full ownership for delivery of the segment’s financial performance and be comfortable working with finance colleagues to consider pricing strategy, maximise volume, deliver asset growth, improving profitability and achieving returns hurdles.

As a senior leader in the firm, you will be an advocate of the bank’s strategic imperatives and an exponent of the behaviours and values associated with DF Capital. You will be risk aware and lead by example across all risk disciplines.

You will be a confident communicator, who gets to the nub of an issue, confident in speaking to a variety of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. Strong attention to detail, a track record of follow-up and a clear ability to manage a team, prioritising work and making adjustments as needed are prerequisite.
