Wayman Education, a leading specialist recruitment agency with over 20 years of experience in the education field, is currently seeking a passionate and experienced KS2 Teacher for an elite school located in Reigate, Surrey. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and dedicated team of educators who strive to maintain high academic standards while promoting a supportive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the varying needs of the students, tracking student progress, and maintaining open communication with parents and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment for students
- Monitor and track students’ academic progress and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders
- Use a range of teaching strategies (e.g. group work, individual work, peer work, etc.) to facilitate student learning
- Prepare and supervise school outings and extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, progress reports, and assessment grades
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school management to ensure student progress, welfare, and development
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS/QTLS)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching KS2 in a UK setting
- Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment methodologies
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare policies.
