Job Description

Who We Are

Thomas International are a leading global talent assessment platform provider. For 40 years, we have been using our suite of scientifically valid psychometric assessments and in-house training portfolio to provide technology driven solutions to ensure our clients recruit, develop, manage and engage their workforce as effectively as possible. We own our businesses in the UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, South Africa, Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia with circa. 200 employees and have developed an extensive distribution model for our assessments and, as a result, we sell to over 50 countries worldwide.

Job Purpose

Thomas is going to change how organisations work.

Based on our core belief in the potential of every individual, we are going to develop products to enable everybody to be themselves and to make progress at work. So that organisations have brilliant and highly engaged workforces.

To make this happen we have formed small, cross-functional, autonomous teams who are applying the latest product discovery and delivery practices.

You will be the UX pillar in one of those teams also involving product, technology, data science, and psychology.

You will help the team discover customer problems and experiment rapidly with potential solutions. And then turn winning ideas into simple, powerful, and effective UX and UI designs.

And then, with the team, develop the designs into products that help users make progress at work.

What will you be doing?

Every day will be different, but every day will involve working closely with your peers in your product area to learn something and do something.

Some days you will be working together. Uncovering insight about users’ needs or spinning up ideas to experiment with as solutions. You may be co-locating to run team workshops, or collaborating apart using the online tools the team adopts; the team decides.

Some days you will be working alone, doing deep work on designs. Because you’ve chosen to.

Some days you might do nothing other than speak to users. Because we believe in continuous discovery to find customer problems and to gather feedback on ideas.

And some days, you’ll do all the above.

How will it feel?

It will feel open, fast, and sometimes challenging. Because we believe in being yourself at work and enabling people to make progress through experimentation.

Sometimes things might get in your way. But your team will work with you to get past them.
