LondonEnergy are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to support with the supervision of our Warehouse Operatives. You will be based in our Edmonton, North London plant.
Reporting to our Warehouse Manager, you will have a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the Warehouse is always operating in a safe and clean condition. In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, you will be in charge of leading the Operative team alone.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Warehouse Operatives when required, leading by example.
- Receiving goods from suppliers, checking the items match to the delivery note supplied.
- Receipting the purchase order once it has been checked using a hand-held device as well as the company operating system Microsoft D365.
- Communicating with suppliers, following up overdue deliveries and arranging collections when necessary.
- Ensuring the Warehouse is always in a safe and clean condition.
- Issuing items when required for all company staff as well as outside contractors.
- Carrying out all reasonable requests from your line managers.
- Assisting in an annual warehouse stock-take if required.
- Assisting with the weekly cycle counts when required.
- Unloading/loading of vehicles manually or with mechanical assistance as appropriate e.g. Forklift, Crane.
- Assisting with the smooth running of the weekly laundry collections and deliveries.
- Ensuring the team are fulfilling their respective roles to a high standard.
- Identifying areas of improvement and implementing change.
- Ensuring procedures are in place for all processes and introducing new procedures where necessary.
Requirements
- Ability to work unsupervised, while using your own initiative.
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment.
- Experience of stock control and rotation
- Driver’s license for forklift truck.
- Knowledge of plant spares is preferred but not essential.
- Experience using both goods receipting and goods issuing methods is preferred but not essential.
- You will be trustworthy and of an honest nature.
- Prepared to work weekends as part of the warehouse rota and must be available to cover shifts when required by the Warehouse Manager.
