The role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior BDR to join our marketing team. As the first hire in the BDR team and in a senior role, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business through inbound lead management and proactive engagement throughout the customer lifecycle. This role is expected to scale a global team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) in the future, serving Americas, EMEA and APAC territories. In the meantime, you will lead by example by being hands-on and directly responsible for BDR responsibilities.You will possess a deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies, comprehending how marketing campaigns impact the entire sales funnel and contribute to conversions.A key aspect of this role is fostering alignment between the marketing and sales teams, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration for enhanced lead conversion and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Lead Management: Respond to and qualify inbound leads generated through various marketing channels, including demo requests, nurture pathways, content engagement, and event registrations.
  • Lead Nurturing: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, understanding their pain points, needs, and goals, and implement personalized nurturing strategies based on the data insights. Tailor the approach to meet the unique requirements of leads generated from various channels, such as gated content downloads, events, webinars, etc. The goal is to engage leads and move them along the buyer's journey towards conversion.
  • Marketing Programs Coordination: Proactively collaborate with the Marketing Team on various marketing programs, ensuring that BDR activities are aligned with marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives. This includes providing feedback on lead quality, participating in campaign planning, and ensuring that leads from marketing efforts are effectively managed and nurtured.
  • Event Participation amp; Engagement: Attend industry events to initiate conversations, drive lead discovery, and represent the company. Coordinate with the Marketing Team to ensure our company's participation is maximized at these events.
  • Team Growth amp; Development: As the first BDR hire, lay the groundwork for scaling the BDR team globally. This includes identifying signals for scaling, creating onboarding processes for new hires, and being the primary point of contact with Sales representatives.

  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with marketing, sales, and cross-functional teams.
  • A keen interest in the industry (experience preferred but not mandatory), and for the future of globally connected energy markets.
  • A keen marketer - Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies, recognising the impact of marketing campaigns on the entire customer journey and their contribution to conversion.
