Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Evening and Night Behaviour Support Workers in North London specifically in Haringey and Enfield. Evening shifts will be from 1:30pm-9:30pm or 3pm-9:30pm and Night Shift times are approximately 9.30pm-9am. Induction training will take place during the day in your first few weeks of employment. You will be fully supervised and should have full-time availability from Monday- Sunday.

Requirements
Duties

  • To support individuals with behavioural difficulties during the evening and night these are both waking and sleeping night shifts.
  • To assist in the implementation of person-centred programs utilising ABA and PBS best practice.
  • To monitor and take accurate data daily per service users’ targets
  • To assist service users with self-help skills including personal care and hygiene needs (e.g., toileting, nappy changing, feeding, and medication) as required.
  • To model best practice and professionalism at all times.
  • Enable service user to improve self-management techniques
  • To attend mandatory trainings, team meetings, and line management meetings.
  • To promote safeguarding and wellbeing for service users to the highest standard.
  • To implement restrictive techniques per service users’ positive handling plan as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Five GCSE's or equivalent
  • Good spoken and written English language skills
  • Good communication skills, capacity to respond in a timely fashion to calls, emails and messages.
  • 6 months of applied experience working with individuals with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism

Preferred qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or related field of work.
  • 1 year of applied experience working with individuals with special needs.
  • Experience utilising the principles and methodology of ABA.
  • Experience of managing challenging behaviour.

Salary and Holiday entitlement:

Full time positions are available, paid at an hourly rate of 11.95-14 depending on qualifications and experience, salary for full-time staff from 18,642 - 21,840 based on 30 hour working week - overtime hours available. 28 days' paid holiday per year pro-rata.
