Job Description

At RVU we combine the close-knit and agile environment of a startup, with the know-how, technology and backing of a well-established company. Our mission is to empower people to make confident decisions. With our unique set of brands, including Uswitch, Confused.com, Money.co.uk and Tempcover, we have the power to reach millions of consumers and the technology to deliver a world class online experience for them.

What you'll be doing:

As the HR and Payroll Coordinator, you’ll play an important role within the wider People Team, being the first point of contact for employees reaching out to both HR and Payroll; providing accurate and timely day-to-day support for employees from across our London businesses (Uswitch and Money.co.uk).

On a day-to-day basis you’ll get involved in a number of different generalist HR responsibilities, from onboarding to payroll, administrative tasks to reporting, always working to provide a best in class experience to our colleagues.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Onboarding new employees - ensuring they have a positive onboarding experience. You’ll take them through the day one induction process and ensure all of their details and legal right to work information is added to our payroll system to ensure they are paid on time. You’ll also follow up with them once they’ve been with us a while to see how they’re settling in.
  • Inducting new employees - you’ll work with line managers to ensure a thorough induction is put in place and that they are aware of the probationary period review process.
  • Offboarding leavers - you’ll provide a positive exit experience for people moving on, ensuring resignations as dealt with promptly and all necessary exit steps are completed.
  • Payroll - you’ll be an active member of the Payroll Team, ensuring the monthly payroll process runs accurately and smoothly by owning the data input. You’ll become a subject matter expert of our HR and Payroll System (Workday).
  • Data - you’ll ensure our HR and Payroll systems are always up to date and provide ad-hoc reports when required
  • HR Admin support - you’ll get involved in a wide variety of other administrative responsibilities, for example, employment change letters, supporting the wider HR team with projects, maintaining all HR systems and updating our benefits platforms.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience working as a HR Coordinator (or other administrative role), ideal but not required
  • Working knowledge of Workday (HRIS) would be an advantage
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple conflicting priorities
  • The ability to effectively communicate with different people at different levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Happy to continuously develop and take on more responsibility as the role develops

Our commitment to you:

At RVU, we are dedicated to developing valuable, inclusive, and user-friendly products and services that deliver positive outcomes for all of our customers. To achieve this it’s essential that our teams reflect the diverse range of people in our community. We believe in being the change we wish to see in the world, by embracing our differences and holding ourselves accountable to being open and inclusive teammates and wider community members.
