Job Description
We are looking for the face of our Mindera Charitable Foundation in the UK. Someone who is passionate about tech and wants to give back to the community. Based in our office at Leicester you will collaborate with others and maintain the values, ethos, vision, and mission. As the head of the charity foundation you will be taking the lead on developing, implementing, and monitoring an effective programme to educate and encourage people into tech as a career, for those who are from a disadvantaged background and/or part of under-represented groups in tech.
You will proactively connect with establishments such as prisons, educational institutes, the British armed forces and community organisations that fit our criteria to deliver workshops, talks and attend community events. The Foundation will collaborate with Mindera and other external partners to provide technology-based training camps, which provides the opportunity for people from disadvantaged backgrounds or under-represented groups in tech to learn coding and other IT skills.
Our aim is to help those who wouldn’t normally get such an opportunity, focus on building the confidence of those who attend and a chance to learn a new skill which could, further down the line, assist with securing a job to start building a career.
Requirements
You will be experienced in:
- Communicating, building partnerships and relationships and spreading the word of the Mindera Foundation
- Commercially minded and able to build on the work we have already started
- Engaging with the community and building an inclusive culture
- Strategic management, creating proposals, defining and driving success
- Leadership for the charity, work with the trustees to take accountability and responsibility for administration and financial management
- Defining and execution of an internal and external marketing strategy
- Charity grant and budget management
- Event management, including attending and talking at events
- Planning, monitoring, evaluation and review of the charity’s services
