Job Description
The Asset and Configuration Manager is a permanent role within the Service Delivery Team, with responsibilities including managing IT assets, enforcing software license compliance, overseeing IT procurement, and enhancing Configuration Management processes. This position is based in our Watford HQ (minimum 3 days per week), with some flexibility for remote work, and is vital for maintaining IT asset control and compliance in a technology-focused department supporting National Lottery operations.

How you'll make a difference
You will utilise your experience as a Configuration Specialist, and your excellent understanding of IT Service Management and its underlying functions. You will also be proficient at managing conflicting demands of data accuracy, operational demands and risks through an operational skillset.
Key Duties:
- Champion Configuration Management processes, supporting the business and ensuring accurate IT Asset Management.
- Manage and maintain all Configuration Management processes and associated documentation ensuring they are regularly reviewed, updated and where appropriate simplified.
- Actively promote Configuration Management activities across IT and the wider business.
- Carry out regular data centre and CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase) audits.
- Ensure absolute adherence to Software Asset Management principles to guarantee licence compliance across the organisation.
What you'll bring to the table
- At least 3 years experience working in a Service Management or Service Delivery function.
- Experience and knowledge of working within the ITIL framework.
- Experience in Software Asset Management.
- Experience in Configuration Management, including demonstrable knowledge of how to develop and maintain a CMDB.
- Demonstrable ability to articulate and present using effective written and verbal communication skills
