The Opportunity/Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our manufacturing team in Huntingdon as our Engineering Maintenance Manager. In this role you will be responsible for leading the site Maintenance function to provide a best-in-class, reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
  • Develop a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) plan and oversee the adherence and timely completion of all work carried out.
  • Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility to increase site operational effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement through the Manufacturing Excellence programme.
  • Ensure training and development needs are met to build an accident free, high performing team.

Requirements

  • Apprentice served or professionally qualified engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years managerial or supervisory experience in an engineering/maintenance department (previous experience of building a performance culture within a technical environment is highly desired)
  • Good technical expertise in PLC controls / industrial automation would be highly advantageous.
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated, able to set and maintain high standards for self and others, identify opportunities and deliver improvements against agreed objectives / timescales.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, communicate clearly and articulate oneself, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships at peer and subordinate level.
  • Ability to identify training requirements for self and team.
