The Role

We’re seeking world-class LNG Analysts to join us on our journey of rapid growth and fulfilling Vortexa mission to open, connect and optimise the energy world through pioneering technology and unmatched market information.

As the first hire in the LNG Analytics team, you will play a critical role in growing our business through delivering high quality LNG market insights, driving product improvement initiatives and gathering market intelligence. You will collaborate closely with our global energy and shipping analysts community, based in London, Singapore, Dubai and Houston, to scale our LNG market analysis offering focused on delivery of timely and actionable insights on the short term market. This role is expected to enhance the LNG trading analytics platform through collaboration with data, commercial, product and technology functions. This exciting opportunity will place you at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, market intelligence and natural gas markets analysis and provide you with a unique skill set to excel as the next generation of analysts.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• LNG Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the global LNG market, focusing sourcing market intelligence, emerging trade flows trends and market trends. Utilize Vortexa's cutting-edge platform and data sources to derive actionable insights for our clients
• Drive Product Improvements: Collaborate closely with our data, engineering, and product teams to enhance the accuracy and relevance of Vortexa's LNG analytics platform. Provide feedback to improve data quality and develop new features
• Gather Market Intelligence: Grow a network of industry contacts to gather valuable market intelligence on both the commodity and shipping transactions
• Data Manipulation and Interpretation: Leverage your expertise to interpret complex energy market data and translate it into clear, actionable recommendations. Identify patterns, trends, and potential market opportunities for LNG traders, investors, and industry stakeholders
• Forecasting and Modeling: Develop models to forecast LNG supply, demand, and trade flows. Collaborate with data scientists to enhance predictive capabilities using historical and real-time data

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation in energy analytics
• Proven analytical skills and a strong understanding of LNG and natural gas market fundamentals
• Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in LNG trading, analysis, commercial operations or associated sectors
  • Understand LNG facilities, shipping, infrastructure, and trade patterns
  • Knowledge of key players, trends, and market dynamics within the LNG industry
