- Use of automation for routine screening up to HTS
- Compound management, producing Assay Ready Plates (ARP)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop biochemical assays using a range of techniques
- Capture data using electronic lab books and databases such as Dotmatics
- Screen small molecules in cell based assays
- Write guidance documents and SOPs
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum of BSc in biochemistry or related biological science with at least a years relevant laboratory experience preferably in the drug discovery environment
- MSc or PhD in related subjects are favourable
- Understanding of biochemical assay design using fluorescence, luminescence, absorption, fluorescence polarisation and TR-FRET technologies
- Experience of developing biochemical assays for library screening of small molecules
- Laboratory experience of enzyme kinetics including Kinact/Ki and mechanism of inhibition is favourable
- Experience in programming automation/liquid handling
- Ability to work in a safe manner and follow SOPs
