We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join an extremely reputable, family-run SME based in Aldridge. As a Warehouse Manager you will have the overall responsibility for the warehouse department and will manage all warehouse operations.
To be successful in this role you must be a strong leader with effective organisational skills. You will be responsible for stock management, lean management principles, implementing new systems and stock movement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of a Warehouse Manager:
- Oversee the supervision of daily activities of the warehouse, including: quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and accurate record-keeping.
- Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to achieve high performance standards
- Implement training programs and best working practices to improve overall efficiency and safety
- Complete all work in line with company policies, procedures and current legislation
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehousing operation contributes to these
- Warehouse maintenance and Health and Safety compliance
- Implementing new systems, policies and procedures
- Lean management principles
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Experience with logistic management
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Health and Safety Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures and policies
- Experience in implementing new procedures, systems and policies
Working hours: Monday-Friday 06:00-16:30
