Fire amp; Security Service Engineer - Slough / Uxbridge
Marlowe Fire amp; Security, a specialist business within Marlowe Fire and Security Group, are looking to grow their team with the appointment of an experienced Fire amp; Security Engineer.
Our basic salaries are based on a grading structure.
Grade 7: Basic Salary between 34,884 - 41,991
A comprehensive, high performing Service Engineer At least 10+ years experience. Multi disciplined in Fire amp; Security systems and panels; able to service, fault-find, investigate, install amp; commission.
Grade 6: Basic Salary between 33,575 - 38,991
A skilled Service Engineer, ideally multi-disciplined in most Fire amp; Security systems and panels; able to service, fault-find, investigate with some awareness of install amp; commissioning.
Grade 5: Basic Salary between 32,145 - 36,592
An experienced Service Engineer with at least 4 years’ experience, ideally multi-disciplined in Fire and/or Security systems and panels, with a particular strength in Fire, Access Control, CCTV or Intruder; able to service, fault-find amp; investigate.
Grade 4: Basic Salary between 29,065 32,992
An experienced Service Engineer with at least 2 years’ experience, ideally multi-disciplined in Fire and/or Security systems and panels, with a particular strength in Fire, Access Control, CCTV or Intruder; able to service, fault-find amp; investigate.
Our Service Engineers
Our Engineers maintain Fire and Security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements. The successful Engineer will contribute to the team and will strive to deliver world class customer service and will be rewarded for doing so.
- Maintain Fire amp; Security Systems in your assigned area.
- Respond to service calls on all types of Fire and Security systems in line with current standards and customer requirements.
- Plan and respond to routine and re-active call visits in your area.
- Maintain effective communication with customers when planning site visits.
- Maintain your stock levels with support from the Stores team.
- Attend training sessions as and when required.
- Attend Engineering team meetings as and when required.
- Identify any personal training and development needs to help you provide the best possible customer service.

Intruder: Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier, Risco
CCTV: Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Generic Analogue Systems
Access Control: Paxton, PAC. Salto
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
In addition to having all the usual attributes of a great Marlowe Fire amp; Security employee, such as; a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well presented and professional at all times, ability to work alone and as part of a team.. For this opportunity, we are specifically looking for candidates who offer:
- Technical background in the electrical / electronic industry.
- Good all-round knowledge of Fire and Security Systems.
- Experience of front-line customer contact preferred.

- Overtime, On-Call, Travel Time: Typically in the region of an additional 10,000 per annum(this value would depend on the individual and how many out-of-hours work you would be prepared to commit to).
