Job Description


Project Length: 2 weeks with possibility to extend

As a Senior UX designer at Hugo amp; Cat, you’ll craft exciting and innovative experiences for major brands, and drive customer centric practices within the team.

You’ll collaborate with our cross-functional teams to craft experiences people love. Through audience research and experience definition, product design and user testing, you will drive the end-to-end design process, always leading by example. As a user UX expert, you’ll champion empathy and insight at each step to ensure that product visions, complex information, and new features connect with customers needs. All-in-all the perfect opportunity for an experienced UX Designer to take on a new challenge.

In this role you’ll craft a range of new components to support a long term client with their latest campaign rollout, the ambition is high and the client is excited about the ability to introduce new functionality to their platform. To achieve the best result, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including visual designers, developers, and project managers, and bring your expertise in content structure, functional component design, and accessibility to this design project.

Core responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility and ownership of the User Experience across an exciting new project for one of our major clients.
  • Champion design thinking approaches, including workshops and co-creation sessions to ideate, validate and drive forward innovative design
  • Responsibility for planning, conducting and synthesising appropriate research to dive into the customer mindset and effectively communicate your insights to ensure the wider team can apply this knowledge
  • Work alongside members of our visual design team to co-create new designs, taking a specific lead on information architecture, functional components and ensure accessibility is considered throughout (Figma experience preferred)
  • Confidently communicate and present your work, helping to take clients on a evidence based journey of design to build consensus around your thinking

Requirements


  • Proven experience in crafting digital product of services across a range of projects or industries, including primary research and user testing experience
  • Examples of hands-on collaboration to produce best-in-class deliverables, including wireframes, user journeys, presentations and prototypes
  • Ability to connect research to insight, and insight into designed experiences.
  • Confident communication skills, with a natural ability to present, articulate and effectively communicate design decisions
  • The drive to always bring new thoughts to the table and combine strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • A team player mindset, naturally connecting UX thinking to other disciplines and supporting the design process from planning through to development and launch
