Parkopedia has the mission of providing the best in-car data and transaction services to make mobility ecological, efficient and convenient.
We are searching for a Senior UX/UI Designer to be our expert on creating best in class experiences for our customers. The successful candidate will be technically proficient with UX research, tools such as Figma, Adobe XD and be comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders including engineering.
We are part of a global team, but this role is primarily based in our London office, which is a short walk from London Bridge. Parkopedia maintains a flexible policy with regards to location however the role will require a proportion of time to be spent at the London office.
- User Experience Design: Define user personas, and develop user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes to help our engineering teams build easy-to-use software. Tailor these flows to help automotive OEMs understand what a good driver experience can look like in the head units of their vehicles and that helps to bring our products to life. Collaborate with product managers, customers and partners to align UX strategies with product objectives.
- User Interface Design: Craft compelling user interfaces, ensuring a cohesive visual language across all products. Develop visual elements, typography, and layouts that align with branding and enhance usability. Ensure designs are optimised for different devices and screen sizes, particularly for automotive head-unit displays.
- Feedback Incorporation: Conduct user testing sessions and gather feedback, iterating on designs based on user responses and behaviours. Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
- Industry-Specific Design: Stay abreast of trends and best practices in B2B SaaS and automotive interface design, ensuring our products are at the forefront of industry standards.
- Documentation and Handoff: Prepare and provide detailed design specifications, high-fidelity mock-ups and guidelines to the development teams. Document design choices and create style guides to ensure consistent design implementation.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, ensuring design alignment with business goals and technical constraints.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable expertise in both UX and UI design, showcased through a diverse portfolio of projects, ideally in the B2B SaaS and automotive interface domains.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and others. Familiarity with prototyping tools like InVision, Marvel, or similar.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of B2B SaaS and automotive head unit interface design principles, challenges, and best practices.
- User-Centric Mindset: Strong ability to empathise with users, anticipate pain points, and craft solutions that enhance user experience.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to design, ensuring every pixel serves a purpose and enhances overall usability and aesthetics.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, allowing for clear articulation of design rationale and efficient collaboration with team members.
- Continuous Learning: Dedication to staying updated with emerging design trends, tools, and methodologies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Relevant certifications in UX/UI design are a plus.
