The Opportunity:

Clarion’s Digital Marketing Division is the home of three market-leading brands: Traffic amp; Conversion Summit, Affiliate Summit, and Creator Economy Live. These brands are all market leaders and bring together blue-chip brands, bloggers, Instagram influencers and the world’s largest ecommerce sellers. We also boast a mind-blowing pedigree of speakers including Richard Branson, Magic Johnson, Martha Stewart, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Our team is spread across four time zones, so we run on daily rev ups, weekly wrap ups and hundreds of Teams messages (plus a few gifs). We are passionate about feedback, learning and improving our customers, our dogs and cats, and Harry Potter!

The Content Marketing Executive will report into the Marketing Director, and be responsible for driving traffic, engagement, leads and revenue through our content marketing efforts. The role will play a key role in driving overreaching company goals predominately through the creation, marketing and reporting on our digital content (which includes a podcast, reports, newsletters and whitepapers, blog content and video). This role will also work closely with our conference production team and the marketing team.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing and producing digital content and have the passion for content marketing and copywriting. They will possess excellent communication skills, be a team player and have the ability to manage multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation, Management amp; Promotion

  • Working closely with the conference producers and marketing team to plan and implement the digital content strategy plan across the brands.
  • Create and manage the quarterly content calendar planning blogs, video, the podcast, and report activity to support the brand’s marketing objectives.
  • To produce 3 - 5 compelling blog posts each month that speaks to our target audience’s pain points and challenges.
  • Manage the production of the Creator Economy Live podcast including liaising with the hosts, managing the editing process, uploading the podcast, and reporting on podcast KPIs.
  • Plan, manage and edit video content (from speaker interviews at events), to help facilitate the growth of each brand.
  • To plan and manage the creation of any download (reports, whitepapers, checklists) to drive lead generation for the brands.
  • Manage and create the weekly newsletters for each brand from picking content pieces, managing freelance writers and creating graphics to creating and sending the email newsletter.

Content Promotion

  • To create marketing assets and copy for content (from podcast blurbs and graphics to report landing pages).
  • Manage, create, and schedule the email promotions for content.
  • To work with the social and paid ads team to ensure content is shared across platforms in a timely and relevant manner.
  • Understand how to use various data tools to interpret data to improve organic performance, such as Google Analytics, Yoast SEO and Keyword Planner.

Analysis amp; Insight

  • Manage reporting that tracks content marketing KPIs on a regular basis to uncover actionable trends and insights.
  • Measuring content performance and analysing key metrics to optimise effectiveness.
  • Development of a continuous test and learn approach across channels to ensure optimisation of our content marketing campaigns, running split tests and evaluating performance to increase engagement and conversions.

Research amp; Learning

  • Researching topics and industry in detail to keep up to date with the latest industry news to craft new (and timely) content ideas.
  • Continued learning about content marketing and the entire digital marketing industry through attending events, reading, listening to podcasts and webinars.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills amp; Behaviours:

  • Previous experience working in digital marketing is desirable.
  • Excellent writing and copywriting skills (with the ability to write in each brand’s TOV and style).
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and CRM like Pardot and Salesforce are desirable.
  • Experience with marketing technology like Canva, Wordpress and Adobe Creative Suite are desirable.</
