Our Energy Services team employs talented individuals who deliver Information Technology and Data Management solutions, leveraging the latest developments in systems and technology, whilst delivering a consistently first-class service to our customers.

As the pre-eminent provider of Information Technology services to the Energy Sector , we have an opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Generalist full stack developer, with a Data background, who is comfortable building out Pipelines, coding API's and data manipulation and ingestion. This will involve understanding various interfaces and providing solutions for integrating data from various sources.

Location- remote( ability to travel to offices Central Belt , Scotland)

Requirements

Primary duties for the role include:

  • Working with Product Owners and Delivery leads to assist with organising the backlog of work
  • Incident, problem and change management of responsible applications amp; systems
  • Manage major IT incidents to resolution within defined SLAs and utilising problem management to avoid repeat occurrences
  • Lead and develop a team of technical cross-functional engineers
  • Platform and application configuration
  • Application installation and lifecycle management
  • Participating in Scrum stand ups and other agile ceremonies
  • Leveraging automation to increase capacity for value-add activities
  • Contributing to system design amp; architecture discussions
  • Designing support practices and onboarding new systems for operational support
  • Taking the lead in ensuring the IT services within the value stream are secure via best practice, patching, vulnerability amp; obsolescence management
  • Ensuring maintenance schedules are in place and delivered for applications amp; systems

  • Application support within an energy sector portfolio
  • Application delivery design
  • Application configuration and packaging
  • 3rd party vendor support and engagement
  • Ability to build and manage Azure DevOps Pipelines
