First things first! What is Educake?

Educake is an award-winning and rapidly growing educational technology business providing online teaching and learning resources to hundreds of thousands of teachers and students around the world.

Based in Oxford, Educake offers eight subjects at secondary (KS3 and GCSE) as well as English, maths and science at primary (KS2).

We work hard to make sure Educake is easy to use so that teachers have a great experience when they use it with their students, with brilliant questions that help students learn.

Our teacher support team is central to ensuring teachers get the support they need to make Educake a success in their school. Every day we go ‘above and beyond’ to provide the best help we can to our teachers. They can always talk to someone friendly, knowledgeable, straightforward, and caring.

I have always found your customer service to go above and beyond what I expected. Plus, I really appreciated the chocolate bar you sent.

Because teachers love Educake, our friendly team is growing, and we now need a proactive, superstar Teacher Support Account Manager to join our company.

Your mission will be to help teachers get the most value from our platform. You’ll be a great fit for the role if you are passionate about helping teachers, super-organised, and a great listener.

Experience in the schools sector is essential, and account management potential is a must.

You will help teachers by:

  • Giving them brilliant, friendly service that helps them get started and use Educake to achieve their goals.
  • Account-managing a set of school accounts, rigorously and creatively driving up engagement, selecting the best strategies to close trials, and proactively working to close renewals.
  • Provide exceptional levels of service to all our teachers, continually exceeding their expectations.
  • Have a meticulous grip on the status of all your accounts, thoroughly working to maximise the outcomes for the business through your excellent approach to engagement.

  • Is exceptionally organised with a tight grasp on detail.
  • Is pro-active and confident.
  • Can multi-task, dealing effectively with inbound enquiries while managing outbound processes.
  • Demonstrates empathy with teachers and colleagues.
  • Is a good problem solver who can ask the right questions to quickly diagnose and resolve a problem.

You will have these essential skills:

  • Great analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Effective questioning skills and brilliant rapport-building ability, with a consultative approach.
  • A great team player who enjoys working with colleagues to drive excellence.
  • Enjoyment and interest and experience in technology, with great working knowledge of standard office applications, and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Understanding of the difference between account management and customer service.

Ideally, you will have these skills:
