Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be an important member of a small finance team, preparing both monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to implement best practices in financial reporting in a fast-paced start up environment!
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of management accounts, variance analysis and commentary.
- Ownership of month-end process, including consolidation, deferred revenue and COGS adjustments.
- Maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assistance in preparation of UK statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assistance in preparation of weekly cashflow forecast.
- Assistance in preparation of regional VAT/GST returns for the UK, EU, and USA
- Assistance in preparation of annual Ramp;D tax relief submission, liaising with internal and external teams.
- Continual improvement of financial controls and control environment.
Requirements
- Technically strong Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
- Ability to partner with other departments and work with them to integrate with the finance function.
- Ability to prepare management accounts, year-end trial balance and ad-hoc management information.
- Ecommerce and/or manufacturing background desirable.
- Previous work experience with Xero/Quickbooks online is preferable.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.

- Able to prioritise effectively to deliver results within deadlines.
- You are a process-driven and problem solver.
- You can effectively manage various stakeholders' relationships.
