Job Description
We are looking for a freelance social media insight analyst with native-level Spanish and cultural knowledge of Panama who is confident writing Boolean queries and has a strong social listening research background.
Job Role
You will be an independent contractor working on a project basis. We assume you will probably have other projects/jobs and we don't expect you to work exclusively with us.
You will work creating Boolean queries, rules, alerts, sentiment QA, tags, and categorisations as per client need and cleaning data.
You will support in analysing the data outputs to draw themes and insights and then turn these into easily digestible and visually appealing presentations.
You will work as part of a wider project team and you will be responsible for delivering the tasks allocated to you by the agreed deadline.
Your local expertise is needed to provide the language and cultural nuance to provide actionable insights on a local or regional level.
Access to the required social listening software or social data will be provided by us or our clients.
Requirements
- You MUST be able to write a Boolean query.
- You MUST have experience with research through social media analytics.
- You MUST be fluent in English and Spanish.
- You must have excellent written communication skills in native-level English.
- You must be able to work independently, managing your time and deadlines appropriately but also equally happy working as part of a global remote project team with different time zones and cultures.

We are a global team providing social media analysis on multi-country multi-language projects. These can range from market research, campaign analysis or consumer insights. The type of client and project varies from project to project. We have 25 employees, including a team based in London and Bangalore, but also another 125 freelance analysts to support them, either speaking less in-demand languages or providing additional capacity when needed.
We offer a competitive (dependent on experience but typically between $15-25 per hour) hourly rate paid directly to you in the currency of your choice.
We offer the ability to work flexibly from anywhere in the world. When we have a project that fits your expertise, we will contact you to see if you are interested and available. We schedule your time in small time blocks of a few hours per day. Each project would come with a specific amount of hours and a start/end date. If you are unable to work during certain days/dates etc. for a project that's not a problem - we can work with you to only schedule you when you want to work. The average project is 2-4 weeks in duration, with 25-50 hours of project time spread over the project timeline as it fits your schedule and team deadlines.
